Programs and Services
- The Mon Valley Alliance Foundation (MVAF) was established to serve as a source of charity and support in our communities. Our various programs and initiatives are designed to promote economic development, improve the business atmosphere, and encourage philanthropy in the Mon Valley. MVAF is a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Our Microloan Program helps local businesses develop, expand, create, and retain jobs with ease. We offer loans up to $50,000 for various uses. Town to Town Mini Grants are awarded to local nonprofits or a community group partnered with a local nonprofit for a project that helps our residents enjoy a higher quality of life. MVAF partnered with the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County (CFWC), an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Foundation, and Penn Environment to establish the Vehicle Emissions
- Reduction Fund. The program was successful in obtaining grants for new energy efficient police vehicles in the City of Monessen and Borough of Donora. MVAF is able to help our businesses and communities with your charitable donations. We appreciate your dedication to improving the Mon Valley. Support the Foundation by donating to our four funds: Mon Valley Community Development Fund, Workforce Readiness Fund, Entrepreneurship and Incubation Fund, Historical Preservation Fund
