Programs and Services

  • The Chartiers-Houston Community Library provides library service to all who abide by the rules of the library. It serves this community as a source of materials for educational, cultural, and informational purposes. A community room where local groups may meet is available. The library participates in the district library center program and is a member of the Washington County System, which provides increased resources.
  • Through Access Pennsylvania , the Chartiers-Houston Community Library secures and utilizes additional material. The library encourages lifelong learning and enrichment by organizing discussion groups, film forums, art instruction programs, and many other activities. Examples of such learning opportunities offered are storytimes, book clubs, and summer and fall reading programs for all ages. The library looks for opportunities to partner with others to offer a wider range of programs.
