Mission

The LeMoyne Community Center's mission is developing, shaping, defining, and stabilizing its community with education, arts, health, and recreational programs.

Programs and Services

  • Our Nutrafit program serves 200 Campers we have here daily during the summer, and 90 youth during the school year in our Homework & More program. The Summer Mobile Feed Unit serves over 700 youth daily for ten weeks during the summer at 18 (soon to be 21) locations throughout Washington County. We have grown by 168% since 2012, with a 34% growth from 2016 to 2017. Due to limited funding, we were not able to expand as much as was requested last year, but are planning to do more this year.
  • Homework & More is an after school program serving about 80 students per day. Students complete their home work with help from adult volunteers/teachers and W&J College students. Besides completing homework, students participate in reading, art, music, piano, drums, robotics, recreation, photography, etc. and do presentations for Black History and American Girl Book Club. One hot meal and a snack is also provided.
  • Camp Challenge is a free eight week summer school program operating from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday for 200 students in grades K-12. Included is education, swimming, recreation, art projects and music classes, computer coding, field trips, horseback riding and more. Older students participate in community service projects, college visits and career preparation as well. Healthy breakfasts and lunches are served daily along with snacks.
  • Coco's Christmas is our annual Christmas where all members of the community are welcomed to come and shop for Christmas presents for their families for free. Our event has no income guidelines and is designed to help the hard working families who struggle to provide for themselves and their families year round, and are particularly stressed at this time of year. New this year will be special accommodations for seniors unable to wait in the lengthy line that forms early in the day.
