To support our community by providing love, care, and a temporary safe haven to dogs in need of a permanent home.
Programs and Services
- Bridge to Home Animal Rescue (BTHAR) was established in November of 2017 by a small group of individuals dedicated to the rescue of dogs in need of a permanent home. Our first owner surrender occurred on 12/14/17, and our organization has rapidly grown with the support of public contributions and an expanding pool of dedicated volunteers. All dogs taken into our program are cared for by volunteer fosters. Each dog is socialized and cared for within the home of its foster.
- This home-based fostering philosophy allows our fosters to better understand the dog's individual personality, which allows for selection of the adoptive home that will best meet the dog's needs. We believe that this will ultimately lead to successful placements and reduced owner surrenders.
- All money brought into our organization goes directly toward the care of the dogs, including medical treatment, spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations for all intakes. We have no paid employees; all services are provided by volunteers.
- Support of the community is important to our organization. We participate in community events by establishing a presence that allows an opportunity for education of individuals that may be interested in dog adoption and the importance of spay and neutering.
